Hello! Lewisville needs fresh, experienced leadership for it’s 2035 plan – what do YOU want Lewisville to look like in 10 years time? I want Lewisville to be a safe, successful home for all. That’s why I’ve decided to run for City Council Place 4. I will prioritize collaboration with local and regional stakeholders, as well as transparency – neighborhoods, communities, local businesses, and organizations are stronger when they work together! I’m prepared to roll up my sleeves and build a BRIGHTER future for Lewisville on Day One – including safer streets, more affordable housing, low property taxes, support for local businesses, and more economic development in the Vista Ridge area. MY CAMPAIGN PLATFORM:

I will be a wise administrator of taxpayer money. Under my leadership, Lewisville will continue to have one of the lowest tax rates in the DFW region!

Increase investment in our fire and police

Our public safety services are some of the best in the state and I promise to always make them a priority! I BACK THE BLUE 100%!

  • Ensure our great police/fire departments and emergency personnel have the robust training and resources (drones, 21st-century software, biometrics, mental health resources, etc.) they need to keep Lewisville safe.
  • Combating sex trafficking and champion state laws empowering our great police force.

Push for more affordable housing

Interest rates are sky high and house prices in DFW are outrageously unaffordable for many… we need more affordable housing units in Lewisville!

  • Give tax cuts to large housing developers – including David Weekly Homes, Lennar Homes, and D.R. Horton Homebuilders – to convince them to build more affordable, top-quality single-family homes in Lewisville.
  • Repurpose vacant plots of land in Lewisville and promote the construction of more quality residential units that are available to citizens who earn less than 60% of AMI (area median income).

Redevelop Lewisville’s Vista Ridge Mall

Overhaul the Vista Ridge Mall — once a vibrant collection of shops where many citizens had fun, the mall has since become a sad bag of bones! It’s time for immediate change… 

  • Gather input from citizens on what businesses they would like to see in the mall – retail and dining options – and renovate this community space by working with regional stakeholders.

Support local businesses & our senior citizens

I pledge to consistently support our most vulnerable—small businesses & senior citizens!

  • Set aside space for local businesses in new development projects and remodel economic development incentives to accelerate the growth of small businesses in Lewisville.
  • Encourage citizens to visit local businesses & restaurants – there are many FANTASTIC places to eat and play in Lewisville.
  • Endorse every city-wide/council effort to help our senior population age in place!

Local businesses are the lifeblood of our economy – I often eat at Sullivan’s BBQ in Old Town Lewisville, which offers customers a slice of Texas heaven (their brisket is divine)!

ABOUT ME

I am currently a high school U.S. History teacher and I thoroughly enjoy supporting my talented students in their endeavors (choir, band, fine arts, athletics, debate competitions, etc.). I was born in England, moved to Texas at age 10, and have been a proud American citizen since January 20, 2022. I love politics and often watch City Council meetings and C-Span Congressional speeches in my free time. I received my M.A. in history from the University of Texas at Arlington and my B.A. in history & political science from Austin College. I am happily married – my wife & I live in South Lewisville with our dog, cat, and two guinea pigs. I am ready to serve YOU – the people of Lewisville!
